Mantilla is spanish traditional shawl that is often worn during religious celebrations and events like Spanish weddings or Semana santa. It's made of lace or light weight clothes that is worn on the head or shoulders with the help of  large decorative comb that is callled Peineta. The mantilla was so popular in 16th, because the women couldn't enter in Catholic Church without covering their head. Therefore, its particularly related to religious practice among women in Church.
